We also collect donation data such as photos of donated items, item descriptions, valuations, and associated charitable organizations. Usage data including device information and log data is collected to improve our service. Payment information is processed by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide the DonationLens service, including AI-powered item identification and valuation. Your data enables us to generate tax reports, send account communications, and continuously improve our service. All processing is done to fulfill our service commitments to you.
Photo Data
Photos you upload are processed by our AI analysis system and stored securely on Cloudflare R2 infrastructure. All photos are associated with your account and protected accordingly. You maintain full control over your data and can delete it at any time by removing individual donations or deleting your entire account.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure, including D1 database and R2 storage services. All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt, and we use JWT tokens for secure authentication. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Third-Party Services
We utilize Cloudflare for hosting and storage infrastructure. Anthropic Claude processes your photos for AI-powered item identification. Stripe handles payment processing securely. Resend delivers transactional emails related to your account. These services are carefully selected and operate under their own privacy policies.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your data at any time through your account. You can export your donation data in PDF or CSV formats. You may delete your account and all associated data whenever you choose. You can update your profile information through your account settings.
Cookies
We use HTTP-only authentication cookies to maintain your login session. Your theme preference is stored in localStorage for a better user experience. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services that track you across websites.
Children's Privacy
DonationLens is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you via email of any material changes. Your continued use of DonationLens after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
